Troubleshooting

Caddx/GE

“Power” light blinking: Indicates low battery condition. This is not an emergency condition. Call 407-282-9552 for service during our normal business hours.  You can continue to use your alarm system.

“Service” light on:  Press the [*] key followed by the [2] key; a number will show on the keypad display:

#1: Press the [1] key and then note which zone light is on. Call 407-282-9552 for service during normal business hours.

#6:  Telephone line trouble. Check your phone to see if you have a dial tone. If no dial tone, call your phone company. If there is dial tone, your alarm may have been disconnected from the phone line. Call 407-282-9552 for service during normal business hours.

#7: Failure to communicate. Check your phone line for dial tone. Call your phone company if there is no dial tone. If there is a dial tone, run a test on your alarm to clear the trouble condition. Call 407-282-9552 during normal business hours if this does not clear the trouble.

#8: Loss of System Time. You need to reset your system clock, as follows:

  1. Press [*] [9] [6] then [master code]
  2. Enter the “day of week”  Sunday =1, Mon=2, Tues=3, Wed=4, Thurs=5, Fri=6, Sat=7
  3. Enter the 2-digit month code
  4. Enter the 2-digit day code
  5. Enter the 2-digit year code
  6. Press [*] [9] [7] then [Master Code]
  7. Enter the 2-digit hour code (24-hour format)
  8. Enter the 2-digit minute code

Adding/Changing user codes:

  1. Press [*] [5] then [Master code]
  2. Enter the 2-digit user number (user 01 is always the master code; do not erase)
  3. Enter the desired 4-digit user code (or enter [*][*][*][*] to erase a code)
  4. Press [#] to exit programming mode

DSC

“Trouble” light on:  Press the [*] key followed by the [2] key; a number will show on the keypad display:

#1: Usually indicates low panel battery. Call 407-282-9552 for service during normal business hours.

#2: Loss of AC power.

#3: Telephone line trouble. Check your phone to see if you have a dial tone. If no dial tone, call your phone company. If there is dial tone, your alarm may have been disconnected from the phone line. Call 407-282-9552 for service during normal business hours.

#4: Failure to communicate. Check your phone line for dial tone. Call your phone company if there is no dial tone. If there is a dial tone, run a test on your alarm to clear the trouble condition. Call 407-282-9552 during normal business hours if this does not clear the trouble.

#7: Low zone battery. This applies only to wireless devices.

#8: Loss of System Time. You need to reset your system clock, as follows:

  1. Press [*] [6] then [master code]
  2. Press [1]
  3. Enter the time in Hours and Minutes using 24-hour format (HH MM)
  4. Enter the date in Month, Day and Year (MM DD YY)
  5. Press [#] to exit programming. If time display does not change immediately, give it 10 or 15 minutes and check again.

Adding/Changing user codes:

  1. Press [*] [5] then [Master code]
  2. Enter the 2-digit user number [01 to 32 or 40](user 40 is always the master code; do not erase)
  3. Enter the desired 4-digit user code (or enter [*] to erase a code)
  4. Press [#] to exit programming mode
